Maggie Klokkenga, CFP®, CPA

Financial Advisor

Maggie Klokkenga (pronounced clock-en-gay) loves to solve financial puzzles, and that usually results in a carefully customized financial plan. Maggie discovered her love for financial puzzles when she first earned her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation in 1997 upon graduating from Truman State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. While she was an auditor at one of the Big Six accounting firms, she honed her skills at preparing workpapers, which transferred over to financial plans 15 years later. In the meantime, she switched to taxes and joined a regional Midwest public accounting firm, preparing and reviewing taxes for high-net worth individuals, trusts, and family limited partnerships.

Maggie decided that she wanted to help people with more than just their taxes, so she left the public accounting field in 2012 and joined a large boutique RIA in St. Louis, Missouri. She followed her small team to a newly-created RIA in 2015, attained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in 2016, and moved to central Illinois later that year. Rather than driving back and forth to St. Louis, she decided to branch out on her own and enjoys supporting the ERWA team.

Off the Clock

Maggie stays busy in her free time with her husband and three boys playing board games and being a chauffeur. She also enjoys walking outside and supporting her local community by volunteering for Junior Achievement of Central Illinois, including being Vice President of their Morton Board, and volunteering for the Morton Chamber of Commerce.

Dawn Aldridge

Client Service Associate

Dawn Aldridge provides operational and client support while working closely with Tim on a day-to-day basis. She has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Bradley University and a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from the University of Illinois at Springfield. The majority of her work experience has been in accounting, most of which was with government and nonprofit organizations. She also has diverse working experience that includes inventory management, professional editing, and web publishing. Her biggest strengths are planning and finding errors.

Long before joining Tim at Eagle Ridge Wealth Advisors, Dawn was Tim’s office manager at Tim's Ace Hardware for its first year in operation. She started working there in early 2006 when the store was just an empty building and quickly learned how to set up financial, inventory, and human resources systems from scratch, as well as helping to assemble some of the original shelving fixtures that would hold the store’s retail inventory. Tim later sold that store in 2018.

Off the Clock

In her free time, Dawn enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, preparing home-cooked meals, and participating in family activities with her husband and two kids.
